Modeling Cybernetic Systems in Biology (MCSB) is a conference series in bioengineering and health informatics with one of the longest traditions in Poland. It was initiated in 1978 and, with only minor interruptions due to martial law and the COVID-19 pandemic, has been organized every five years. This year’s 10th anniversary edition (MCSB2026) was organized, as usual, in Krakรณw through a collaboration between the Jagiellonian University Medical College and AGH University of Krakรณw. The conference brought together more than 140 participants from Poland and abroad.

The MCSB conference promotes broad collaboration between academic institutions, research centres, and industry, aiming to foster development in areas such as digital medicine, artificial intelligence in healthcare, medical robotics, and bioinformatics. This year, the organizers placed special emphasis on digital education, curriculum innovation in the era of generative AI, and the development of digital competencies among healthcare professionals. Two conference sessions addressed topics related to digital learning, digital health literacy, and clinical decision support systems. In one of these sessions, Andrzej Kononowicz presented the outcomes of the D-CREDO project. Other D-CREDO collaborators, including Joanna Fฤ
ferek, Maลgorzata Sudacka, and Renata Szydlak, also presented their research during the conference. We were proud to actively involve students in the meeting, giving them the opportunity to present their work, gain experience in scientific communication, and engage in discussions with researchers and practitioners.

The MCSB conference proceedings were published as a special issue of the journal Bio-Algorithms and Med-Systems (Journal Impact Factor 2.3). The meeting provided an excellent opportunity to network and promote D-CREDO, leading to valuable discussions about the role of digital tools in clinical reasoning and opening up new possibilities for collaboration.
