The School of Digitalization in Medical Education in Kyiv took place from January 23rd to 24th, 2025. The event was a resounding success, offering an exciting opportunity to explore innovative digital tools for healthcare education, exchange experiences and best practices, and generate new ideas for integrating digital technologies in healthcare education.
Among the speakers were experts in the field of digitization of education and specialists related to this process, as well as representatives of several higher education institutions that have already successfully applied digital technologies in the educational process and are ready to share their successful cases and inspire colleagues from other higher education institutions to implement digital approaches in education. Besides that, there were representatives from the Department of Medical Personnel, Education and Science of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the secretary of the interdepartmental working group of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine on the development of telemedicine in Ukraine the press Secretary of the Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology — Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
Representing Bukovinian State Medical University (BSMU), Tetiana Antofiichuk showcased the D-CREDO project and its first findings on the diverse needs and priorities of stakeholders, including medical and nursing students, curriculum developers, physicians, nurses, and educators. The presentation aroused considerable interest and highlighted the immense potential of enhancing clinical reasoning education with digital health technologies and tools, a transformative medical education approach.


BSMU mentioned the D-CREDO project report on assessing target needs for integrating digital health tools into clinical reasoning education. The primary objective of this needs assessment was to build upon a general needs analysis conducted at the start of the project and gain a detailed understanding of the specific needs of key stakeholders (students, educators, administrators, practicing physicians, nurses, etc.) at partner institutions and among associated partners regarding clinical reasoning education using digital technologies and health tools.
BSMU is at the forefront of integrating digital technologies into medical education in Ukraine, ensuring that students are prepared to meet the modern challenges of medicine. Through these initiatives, BSMU continues to foster a culture of innovation, preparing educators and students to excel in a digitally driven world.
