TEAM SPOTLIGHT: Instruct gGmbH

Instruct is a company based in Munich, Germany. We have our roots in academics as Instruct was originally founded as a spin-off of the University of Munich (LMU).  Our main focus is supporting healthcare educators in creating and providing virtual patients or cases for their students. For that, we developed and maintain the learning system CASUS and help educators with the creation of virtual patients and digital learning in general.  We bring this expertise with digital learning into the D-CREDO project, but we also have a background in research, software development, and medical education.

Dorothee Wagner von Hoff received her PhD at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich and worked as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Ethics, History and Theory of Medicine in Munich. As Project Assistant at Instruct gGmbH, she was previously involved in the EU-funded Project DID-ACT. At D-CREDO she contributes to literature reviews and the development of learning objectives and learning units.

Martin Adler is the CEO and senior software developer of Instruct gGmbH. For D-CREDO he is involved in setting up and maintaining the website, the survey tool, and the learning management platform and supporting the development of the learning units with required programming or adaptation of software solutions.

Inga Hege is an associate professor for medical education with a research focus on clinical reasoning with virtual patients. She contributes to D-CREDO  in the development of learning objectives, learning units, and virtual patients. She also brings in her experience as project coordinator of the former projects DID-ACT and iCoViP.
