Chernivtsi has been shaped by diverse empires and governments, yet it has preserved its respectful, tolerant, and thoughtful spirit. Each visit reveals new perspectives and a unique atmosphere built over centuries.

Thanks to its rich history, natural beauty, stunning architecture, and warm-hearted people, Chernivtsi has long held a prominent place among Ukrainian and European cities. Its ancient roots and vibrant cultural heritage make it especially captivating for those interested in Bukovyna. The city’s architectural gem is the former Residence of Bukovinian Metropolitans, a masterpiece by renowned Czech architect Josef Hlávka. On June 28, 2011, this ensemble was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List.
